Dale Charles Nider was born on March 22, 1934, in Jefferson County, NE. He was the seventh child of eight to Claude and “Tilly” Nider. In the spring of 1945, Dale’s family moved to California due to his father’s health and then to Burlington, Colorado, in 1948. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1951.
