Officer Cecilia was born in California in 1981 and graduated high school in 2001. She graduated from college in 2009. Cecilia worked in corrections in California before coming to the Kit Carson Correctional Center in 2010.
Cecilia is survived by her husband, Carlos Trevino and two children: son Angel and daughter Analise. Other survivors include her brother; Officer Rolando Hinojosa and wife, Officer Mayra Quiroz; Parents Raul and Rosemary Hinojosa. She is also survived by her best friend, Officer Elma Castaneda and a host of friends.
Memorial Services will be held Tuesday Dec 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Burlington Community Center
