Chuck was born in rural Lincoln County, CO and died at his home in Eads.

Charles (Chuck) Clifford (Cliff - Hi my names Cliff drop over sometime.) Igou ( I go you go we all go to Hugo.) To describe him in a few words would be impossible, but in a try I would say faithful. He was faithful in his faith of God, faithful in his diligence, faithful to always be counted on, and faithful to always try to do what he felt was right.

You could say he was a man with roots. His roots started October 19, 1934 South of Hugo in his Father's (Charles Milton Igou) and Mother's ( Cecile Weimer) home. That day he became the youngest of seven children. He graduated high school from Hugo where he found his wife Lola dragging the open streets with his personalized revved junker. They married on September 28, 1953 and raised a family with three children, Denny, Nikki, and Ronda (Roz). He raised his children on his morals and how he lived his life, not by words, but by actions. He not only influenced his children on how he lived his life, but his community, friends, family, and strangers who soon became acquaintances.

He worked for Lincoln County right after he got married, the State Highway 1958-1990, then started a Heavens Best Carpet Cleaning service from 1988-2001, Cleaned the Kiowa County Bank 1967-2012 ( He said, I continue to clean the bank, because I don't want to be known as a quitter.). He also was found with a shovel paving paths of snow for neighbors, burning tumbleweeds, trimming trees, mowing grass, you name it, he was everybody's handyman and he was glad to be. He was the happiest when he was around friends and family working and telling jokes/stories.

I would say that I have not known a better man, he tried to do his best at whatever it was, if it was trimming trees, being a husband, friend, father, grandfather, relative, neighbor,or servant of God. He was a man of his words his yes meant yes and his no meant no. There was no guessing or shaky ground around Chuck, you always knew where he stood. Thank you Chuck for all that you did, you blessed us by just knowing you. You didn't tell us how to live you showed us and for this we thank you.
