A fierce heart, a bright soul, a love beyond words.
To know Cynthia was to know warmth. Kindness. Strength. She had the kind of light that couldn’t be dimmed — not by hard days, not by heartbreak, not by anything life could throw at her. She was fierce in her love, gentle in her spirit, and deeply rooted in her family.
She was our loving wife, our mama, our sister, our best friend. She loved her people with her whole heart. Her little pup Bella was her world. She found joy in the little things — purple flowers, butterflies dancing through the air, red wing black birds chirping in the trees, waves on the shore, and quiet breezy mornings with coffee in hand. She loved to thrift shop, to find hidden treasures, and to travel to new places with wide open wonder. She laughed often and loved deeply — and it was evident in everything she did.
Cynthia shared over 35 beautiful years of marriage with her husband, Rayford, the love of her life. Theirs was a partnership built on laugher, friendship, and unyielding loyalty. Through every season, they stood beside each other with unwavering love — a true example of devotion, strength, and shared joy.
For more than 30 years, Cynthia dedicated herself to the nursing profession — and she was born for it. She didn’t just care for people; she truly cared for them. She had a gift for making others feel safe, seen, and loved — whether in a hospital room or just in everyday life. She gave everything she had to the people who needed her, and she did it with a quiet strength and endless compassion.
There are so many memories, it’s hard to pick just one — because she was in everything. She was the one we called, the one we leaned on, the one who made the ordinary feel like home.
Cynthia loved big. She lived fully. And she leaves behind a love that doesn’t end here — because it never really ends.
We will carry her with us — in every story, every hug, every butterfly that crosses our path. We will keep her light alive in how we love, how we show up, and how we live bravely, just like she did.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rayford Vick; her devoted daughter, Dominique Worobey; her great-niece, Aliyah Garner, whom she loved as her own; and her beloved dog, Bella, her constant companion and joy.
“In every butterfly, every red wing black bird and in every breeze — she’s with us.”
