Danny Beeson Obituary

Danny Ray Beeson was the seventh child born to Clark and Opal Beeson. He was born on June 17, 1958 in Burlington, Colorado. Danny and his family lived on a farm outside of Bethune, Colorado. It wasnt long before another Beeson was added to the family. Dannys mother became ill and passed away so the family moved into Bethune where Clark took over the operation of the Conoco station.

Clark later met and married Charlotte Cranford and adopted her three children. The family moved to Eads, Colorado, where they ran a 24 hour truck stop. Danny enjoyed working for his parents at the truck stop. He always tried to take good care of his customers, like the time someone pulled up and insisted he fill er up with diesel, even though it was a gasoline vehicle. Danny tried his best to talk them out of it, but when the customer insisted; (because the diesel was cheaper) that is EXACTLY what he did! So much for customer service, they never saw that guy again!

Danny went to school in Eads and graduated from Eads High School in 1976. During his Junior High and High School years Danny followed in the footsteps of his older brothers and joined the wrestling team. He loved to wrestle. He even agreed to lose weight just so he could wrestle. That was tough because, if you knew Danny then, he never had much extra weight to lose! He was a good wrestler; he even managed to win the District tournament a time or two!

After graduating Danny worked at his parents parts store. He was also employed by Jim Leibl at the lumber yard. He loved staying busy and working hard. But Danny had a fun side to him also, like when he kept telling his Mom that her cereal looked like dog food then decided to put her to the test. One day while she was busy taking care of everyone else, he swapped her cereal for a bowl of dog food, hoping she wouldnt notice. It almost worked; she was just about to pour the milk when she noticed something was wrong. Mrs. Fox probably wondered why her natural green thumb seemed to have disappeared the year she had Danny in her class! Danny was generously fertilizing her plants with salt tablets! There are many more such stories, too numerous to mention because Danny just loved life!

In 1979 Danny married Cynthia Taylor, together they had four children; Danell, Laura Beth, Caleb and Kelsey. They were later divorced.

After suffering from a long illness, Danny passed away at the Valley View Rest Home in Canon City, Colorado on May 12, 2012 at the age of 53. He was preceded in death by four sisters Dixie, Judy, Donna and Dottie and two brothers, Dale and Michael. He is survived by his parents Clark and Charlotte, his sisters Dana and Michele and three brothers Lyle, Mitchell and Richard, his four children, Danell, Laura Beth, Caleb and Kelsey and his six grandchildren, Christopher, Joseph, Lucas, Emilee, Maura and Daniel. Also surviving are his Aunt Lila Taylor, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held in the Eads Cemetery in Eads with Mr. Royce Walters officiating. Friends and family can sign the guest book or register online condolences at www.brownfuneraldirectors.com. Funeral services were entrusted to the care of the Brown Funeral Home in Eads.
