Donita Dreitz Obituary

Donita Valetta Clemans was born July 3, 1953, in St. Francis KS. and passed away on Sept 16, 2010 in Colorado Springs, CO after a three-year battle with cancer. She was the youngest child of Warren E. and Valetta V. Anderson Clemans. She had two older brothers and one sister. She lived with her family on a farm in the Beaver Valley community until 1954 when they moved in to Burlington. She attended schools in Burlington through 10th grade. At age 16 she married Raymond D. Rowley, and to this union one daughter, Dalene Rae, was born.

On August 21, 1993, she married Randall J. Dreitz and eventually moved to Stratton where she lived until her passing. Donita worked hard all her life at various jobs throughout both communities.

In 2002 she welcomed her granddaughter, Carissa Rae, into her life. On October 17, 2005 Randall passed away after a short illness.

She was always available to help her parents when they became disabled and was a very loving daughter. Over the years she has enjoyed bowling, fishing, and crocheting and watching the Broncos but her very favorite thing to do was to spend time with Dalene and Carissa..

Preceding Donita in death were her parents, Warren and Valetta Clemans and her husband Randal J. Dreitz, Raymond D. Rowley, and father in law Alvin Dreitz.

Surviving her are her daughter Dalene (Doug) and granddaughter Carissa, stepchildren Robert Dreitz and Teresa Derringer and stepgrandchildren Philip, Madison, Michaela, and Aubrey. She is also surived by her brothers, Arlyn (Sharon) and Royce (Yvonne) Clemans all of Burlington, and her sister Janice King of Eads, CO. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.


The family will receive friends Monday Sept 20, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, 2910 Senter Ave.; Burlington, CO.



Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Brown and Latimer Funeral Chapel in Burlington with Pastor Ron Lee officiating.

Burial will take place at the Calvary Cemetery in Stratton, Colorado.

Memorials may be made in Donita's name and may be left at the First National Bank in Burlington at 107 South 14th St. P.O.Box 700, Burlington, CO 80807 or at the funeral home.
