Donna Lee Lewis was born July 5, 1950 to Clark and Opal (Schaal) Beeson at Burlington, Colorado.

The family lived on a farm South of Bethune, where Donna enjoyed farm life with her sisters and brothers and all the farm animals. She especially enjoyed bareback riding. Donna started school, along with two older sisters in Sparta, Oregon where her Dad did logging for four years before moving back to the farm near Bethune, Colorado. She attended school in Stratton, Bethune and later the family moved to Eads, Colorado where she finished her schooling.


Donnas mother died in 1967. Donna met and married Dennis McDaniel in 1966 from this union, two sons Darren and Dwight were born. Later she marred Don Lewis and to this union three children were born Dean, Dawn (Becky) and Darlene.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Opal; her son, Dean, two sisters Dixie and Judy, her husband, Don and two brothers Dale and Michael.


She is survived by her Dad, Clark Beeson, Step-Mother, Charlotte Beeson, sons Darren McDaniel of Burlington, Dwight McDaniel of Bailey, Colorado; Becky Lewis of Las Animas, Darlene Lewis of Lamar, brother Lyle Beeson and wife Judy of Stratton, Danny Beeson of Canon City, brothers Mitchell Beeson of Eads, Richard Beeson and wife Isabella of Parker, Colorado; sister Dana Brown and husband Rod of Eads, Dottie Matthew of Eads, Michele Weygandt and husband Michael of Grand Junction, Colorado. She is also survived by Aunts Lila Taylor of Stratton and Gladys Beeson of Bethune, Colorado and many nieces, nephews and cousins.


Graveside services were held at the Eads Cemetery on Friday May 9, 2008 at 11:00 a.m.


A memorial has been set up at Brown Funeral Home at Box 432; Eads, CO 81036 where contributions to the research of the illness affecting this family may be made.
