Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 8th at the Arapahoe Community Church. 
Visitation will be held Monday, July 7th from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Cheyenne Wells, CO.

Elizabeth Jane Baker (better known as Betty) was born on August 29, 1937 in Cheyenne Wells Colorado. She passed away on June 1, 2025.

Betty was the daughter of Karl and Nell (Rohren) Huenergardt. She has two sisters, Corky Richards and Karol Bergquist, both of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado.

Betty was a school teacher in Oak Creek Colorado for 34 years.  As a teacher she taught English, Typing, Business Classes and Shorthand Writing. She also taught in Arapahoe for a number of years.  She loved the mountains and all of the wildlife in the area.  After retirement Betty moved back to Cheyenne Wells where she lived the rest of her life.

Betty is survived by her son Terry Baker and his wife Nancy Baker, grandson Andrew Baker and granddaughter Angela Baker. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Baker in 2021.
