A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Cheyenne Wells. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Cheyenne Wells. A recitation of the Rosary will be prayed on Monday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at the Sacred Heart Church in Cheyenne Wells. Mrs. Sponsel was born in Cheyenne Wells, CO on February 24, 1926 and passed away at Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells on November 20, 2014 at the age of 88.


Mrs. Sponsel is survived by her children: Robert (Dorothy) Sponsel of Winfield, KS, Theodora Bogenhagen of Great Bend, KS, Regina Sponsel of Ellicott City, MD, David (Kathy) Sponsel of Lincoln, NE, Valeria (Curt) Lowe of Cheyenne Wells, CO, Steven (Tracy) Sponsel of Liberal, KS, Celina Mitchell of Liberal, KS and Kelly (Stacy) Sponsel of Cheyenne Wells, CO. Mrs. Sponsel is also survived by her 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren as well as many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Theodore Sponsel and by one sister.
