Georgeanna Hudson Grusing, age 83, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1993 and formerly of Woodland Park and Burlington, Colorado passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at the memory unit of Mackenzie Place in Colorado Springs. She was a housewife, farm wife and a member of First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs and Burlington United Methodist Church.


Georgeanna Hudson was born on February 22, 1927 in Burlington to the late Sim and Dorothy (Barker) Hudson. After high school she attended the University. She married Marvin H. Grusing on April 4, 1946 at her parents home in Burlington. She enjoyed playing the piano, reading and religious music. For many years she and Marvin wintered in Tucson, Arizona. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling and many times toured through Europe and traveled the world.


She is survived by her loving husband: Marv; her beloved daughter: Marvanna Trujillo of Florissant and her sister-in- law: Rita Mae Grusing of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her son: Gary.


Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Burlington United Methodist Church, 290 13th Street, Burlington, Colorado. Cremation is planned and burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington. Memorials may be made to the Georgeanna Grussing Memorial Fund in care of the Bank of Burlington or dropped off at the Brown and Latimer Funeral Home,
