Gladys was born June 2, 1933 in Holly, Colorado to Walter and Bernice Cave. She died in Pueblo, Colorado on September 27, 2007.
Gladys met and married Lynam Brisendine on December 7, 1947 in New Mexico. They were married for 52 1/2 years. To this union they had four children: Loretta Cozart of Las Animas, CO, Harold Brisendine and wife Rosa of Winslow ,AZ, Debora Speer of Las Animas ,CO, Diana Watson and husband Rex of Cheyenne Wells, CO, and daughter in law Deb Voss of Burlington, CO.
She was preceded in death by husband Lynam, her parents Walter and Bernice Cave, brother and sisters Henry, Ed, Joy, Ella and one grandson Shannon Watson.
Gladys is survived by Loretta, Harold, Debora, Diana, Deb, and one brother Blaine. Thirteen grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Gladys Brisendine were held on Monday October 1, 2007 at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Cheyenne Wells, CO with Pastor Dan Bryant officiating. Serving as casketbearers were: Travis Watson, Ray Cozart, Christ Pelton, Mark Vadovsky, Claude Blevins and Keith Brisendine. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sangre De Cristo Hospice House; 1716 N. Reading; Pueblo, CO.
