Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at the Eads United Methodist Church with Rev. Nancy Peacock officiating. In leau of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Eads Senior Citizens Center Ceramics. Burial will follow at the Eads Cemetery.


Hannah Kelley Eder was born on February 12, 1916 in Little York, Illinois to Austin and Marion F. Kelley. Mrs. Eder died on December 23, 2009 in Eads, Colorado with her family by her side. She came to Colorado with her parents, eight sisters and one brother when she was 5 years old. She attended Kit Carson Schools when she was 7 years of age. The family then moved to Eads, Colorado where she graduated from Eads High School in 1935. She was married to Raymond M. Eder on July 25, 1937. To this union was born Marlin W. Eder of Eads, Colorado and Janice M. Pfingston of Eads, CO. She spent all of her married life on the family ranch east of Eads where Raymond was born and died. Raymond passed away on January 17, 1997. Hannah continued living there for a few years, until family concerns brought her to town. Hannah spent 35 years teaching and doing ceramics at the Eads Senior Center, where she continued until her death.


Hannah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, eight sisters, one brother, one brother-in-law Roland, and one sister-in-law Dorothy. She is survived by her son Marlin W. Eder (Pat Roper) and his family: Lonnie (Debbie) Eder, Trey Eder, Shanelll Thomas, Nya Morgan, Shatanah and Albanieh Thomas, Marlynn (Delton) Eikenberg, Dusty Eikenberg, Haley (Jason) Reedy, Reygan Gibbs, Kinley, Cheyanne, and Brock Reedy, Casey (Shannon) and Giana Gibbs. A Daughter Janice (Don) Pfingston and her family: Darla, Talli, Tanaia Hansen, Dawn Rae (Milton) T.J. (Courtney), Trice Watts. Hannah is also survived by one sister-in-law Ruth Rose as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
