Harold Lee Goodrich Obituary

Mr. Harold Goodrich passed away in Aurora with family by his side.  


 
   Robert and Orpha Goodrich gave birth to their third son, Harold, February 27, 1941. Harold graduated from Flagler High School in 1959. Then, he attended Adams State where he received B.A. and M.S. Degrees in history, English, and education.   He spent 30 years teaching in public school; 5 years in Woodlin and 25 years in 
Burlington Middle School. Upon retirement, he taught in Bangkok Thailand, Dakar Senegal, San Juan Costa Rica with short term mission trips to Papa Hungary and Calne UK. Later he and his wife served as missionaries in Juarez Mexico. 
  In 1967 he married Claire Merle and they were blessed with two children, Russell and Holly. Claire divorced and Harold became a bachelor again for 15 years.  
 While working in Thailand, Min-Kyoung Won became his true love for nearly 30 years. They loved their pets (Gumdoong, Chester, Silver, Jack, Junior, and Muffin and some more.) and enjoyed them tremendously. 
 They enjoyed volunteering for teaching English as a second language for adults, Meals on Wheels, and Travel counselors at the Colorado Welcome Center.  
  Early in life he was baptized into Flagler Baptist Church. Later he became a member of the American Lutheran Church Burlington, First Baptist Church Burlington, and Bangkok Baptist Church. Although he had been baptized early in life, was rebaptized under the name of Yahuah, the Father and Yahushua, the Son.  
  He was an adventurer, inspirer, teacher, loving husband, singer and true believer.   Harold is preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his wife Min, son Russell, daughter Holly, grandchildren Haley and Elias, niece Tammi, and nephew Lindon. 
Internment is at Flagler Cemetery. 
 
 


Funeral Services will be held May 16, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Burlington, CO at 10:30 am with burial to follow at Flagler Cemetery in Flagler, CO. 


Memorial Contributions may be made to the McArthur Senior Center.
