James A. Levin Obituary

James A. Levin (69) went to be with his Lord on January 12, 2011. Jim was born on June 26, 1941 in Garden City, KS. Jim came to Seibert, CO with his family in October of 1942. He resided on the family farm for 68 years and graduated from Seibert High School in 1959. He and Carol were married June 3, 1962 and he was a wonderful father to Monty, Michal and Marty June.

Jim had run a dairy for many years prior to his 32 years of service as a mail carrier. He prided himself on having his yard well maintained and no weed went unmowed. He spent many years serving his community from preparing for a Seibert Day to serving 20+ years on the voluntary fire department to countless oyster fries. Some of his greatest honors were being an honorary FFA member, youth group leader and receipt of the game ball from the volleyball team in recognition of his support.

Jim found joy in dancing, playing cards, cooking, visiting and helping neighbors and adopting kids. He was a dedicated member of his church and found great content in their love and prayers. Jim touched so many lives and knew no stranger. His sense of humor and positive attitude are an example for us all and he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gertrude Levin, brothers Donnie and Melvin Levin, nephews Lonnie and Lennie Levin and niece Kimberly Jansen.
