A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Garfield Cemetery in Garfield, Kansas. The family will recieve friends at the home of Jerry and Tina Adamson, 910 Goff St. in Eads from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kiowa County Home Health of the Lamar Area Hospice. John moved to Eads in 1959 after having served four years in the United States Marine Corps. John farmed with his father and later spent many miles delivering grain throughout Southeast Colorado. Preceding him in death was his parents and one son, John Arthur Hulteen. He is survived by his wife of 52 yeas, Mary Ann, his daughters Alizabeth Hulteen of Jerusalem Isreal and Christina (Jerry) Adamson of Eads. His grandaughters Autumn (Jon) Rouse, Lacy J. (J.D.) Vancampen, Adrienn Adamson and Cory Adamson as well as his sister Nancy (Harold) Wright and brother-in-law Hubert (Millie) O'Malley also survive him. Mr. Hulteen died at his home in Eads, CO with his family by his side.
