FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE ON THURSDAY, JULY 12, 2012 AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN EADS. INTERNMENT WILL FOLLOW IN THE EADS CEMETERY.


There is also a memorial service on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rostad Funeral Chapel in Rawlins, WY.


Krysta Dawn Elam, 28, died suddenly on July 3, 2012 at MHCC in Rawlins Wyoming. Krysta Dawn Collins was born on May 22, 1984, in Eads Colorado to Charles and Leanna Collins. She attended schools in Eads Colorado and Wamsutter Wyoming. After finishing school, Krysta lived for a short while in Kansas and then moved to Rawlins where she has lived for several years.


Krysta loved her friends and family and her children meant the world to her. She enjoyed taking her boys to the park and playing outside. Any excuse to be with her family made her smile. Krysta was a great mom, daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Krysta had just recently cut her hair and donated to Locks of Love.




She was preceded in death by her great grandparents: Marvin and Dorothy Somerhalder, Olyn and Mary Woods, Calvin Collins and uncles Billy and Oscar Collins.


She is survived by her two boys: William Edward (7 years) and Kristopher Charles (14 months), her special friend: Tom Bustos and his children Alfonso, Thomas, and Gabriel of Rawlins, her parents: Charles and Leanna Collins of Eads Colorado, Grandparents: Robert and Renee Woods, Grandmother Arbelle Collins, Aunts and Uncles: Sheri Lyon (Jim), Marci Miller (Frank), Alice Simmons (Lewis), Calvin Collins, Alvin Collins (Mary), Carl Collins (Jeannie), Maxine Collins, Allidean Collins, Ervin Collins, David Collins, and Ernie Collins. Close Cousins: Wendi Phipps (Robb), Matt Lyon, Brian Miller (Amy), Mark Lyon (Nichole), and Robby Miller, as well as numerous cousins and extended family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be cousins: Jesse Phipps, Tyrel Smith, Taylor Lyon, Bradlee Lyon, Kayli Phipps and Katie Lyon.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to benefit Krystas children at Bank of Commerce in Rawlins Wyoming or Kiowa County National Bank in Eads Colorado or can be sent to the Brown Funeral Home at Box 432; Eads, CO 81036.
