Lyle Gary Beeson Obituary

Lyle Gary Beeson was born on November 24, 1956, the 6th child of 8 born to Clark and Opal

(Schaal) Beeson. He spent his 1st few years just south of Bethune, Colorado and was scared when he went to Bethune School where there were so many new kids. His mother became ill and went to heaven.

Later the family moved to Eads, Colorado when Charolotte Cranfield and her 3 Children joined the Family. Michael, Michele and Mitchel were adopted by Clark. Soon a Baby brother Richard was born to make to Dozen children! Lyle loved his siblings, playing and working with them on the farm.

Even though he loved being a country boy, he always dreamed of being a US Marine, so the day after he graduated from Eads High School, he flew to San Diego for Boot Camp. He proudly served in the Marines for 4 years, stationed in Hawaii, Japan & California. He then joined the Army National Guard and served 17 more years. Some activations were Medical Missions to Costa Rica & Nicaragua and then he was again activated and on his 35th birthday he shipped out to Desert Storm and served 13 months there.

Later he would graduate with highest honors from Lamar Community College with an Associates Degree in Sysco Networking.

On November 22, 1994 Lyle married Judy Bontrager in Eads, Colorado. Instantly he became a grandfather to Judys first granddaughter. Since he said Judy robbed the Cradle with him, he felt he was too young to be called Grandpa so he told us he was Uncle Lyle. The first time that adorable little baby toddled up on his chest and said, Me Wove you Uncle Lyle and kissed him, she stole his heart and so from then on she could call him Papa. He adored all the grandchildren and they became the joys of his life and they adored him.

After moving to Stratton, Colorado Lyle earned his Plumbing Instructor degree and was a plumbing instructor at Kit Carson Correctional Center where he loved his work and his students. One thing for sure he always said he had a 'Captive Audience' there.

Lyle always had a great sense of humor and loved telling stories. He loved hunting, hiking, raising bounteous Vegetable gardens, canning and walking with his grandchildren and his black dog, Ruby.

Lyle is survived by his wife; Judy Beeson of Stratton, by his parents; Clark and Charlotte Beeson of Parker, Colorado, his children: Christopher (Jessica) Hardin of Woodward, OK, Dustin (Daniela) Hardin of Elk City, OK, John Hardin of Wyoming, Chris Fadness of Denver, CO, Matthew Bain of Denver, CO, Wendy (Junior) McDowell of Eads, CO, Elizabeth (Marshall) Cox of Hugo, CO and Erika Rice of the U.S. Navy.
