Marla Jo Cutler passed away unexpectedly on March 21st, 2025 in her home. She was 66 years old. Marla was born in Denver, CO on Sept. 25th 1958 to parents Don Sr and Mary Cutler she is the 2nd of 3 children. She lived in many places around the Denver Metro area before settling in Burlington Co in 2013. She also worked in many places including running her own business with best friend Gail Kringen (G & M Decorating) but her real passion came from cooking and she worked in food service and held many positions over her 30-year career. Her skills in the kitchen earned her a top spot in everyone’s favorite place to eat and she always made extra green chili so you could take some home. Her Christmas candy and cookie trays were waited for in anticipation of sinking your teeth into something delicious. Marla graduated from Jefferson High school where she played in sports. She began bowling when she was 8 years old and began in youth leagues and then moved on to participating in several leagues a week as an adult earning 2 perfect scores as an adult. She was known to travel all over the state and country to participate in tournaments. Marla was always up for adventure and over their 25 years together her and Pat loved going to Lake Mac where they enjoyed jet skiing, boating and fishing while visiting with family and friends. They also loved traveling going to the Bahamas, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. One of her favorite pass times was traveling to watch her grandkids participate in their sports. Marla was preceded in death by her grandparents and both her mother and father.  She is survived by stepfather Mike Schaffer of Edgewater Co. Life partner Pat Headley of Burlington Co. Children Chuck Headley of Lucedale Mississippi, Cherri Dennis (Michael) and children Callie (Seth) Thomas (Brookley) Jason (Caira-gf) Liam and LillieAnn of Colby Kansas. Sister Margo Debar (Dave) of Omaha Nebraska, Brother Don Cutler Jr (Sandi) children Daniel, Jennifer Stire (Mike) children Jared and Raylan. Uncles, Aunts numerous cousins, sister in laws, brother in laws and many friends. 

A visitation will be held on March 27, 2025 from 6:00pm -8:00pm at Brown Funeral Home in Burlington, CO.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 28, 2025 at 11:00 am at Brown Funeral Home in Burlington, CO.

Marla was a supporter of organ and tissue donation. One of her last gifts on earth was able to give the gift of life through tissue donation.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be left for the family in care of Brown Funeral Home.
