Mary Forsyth Obituary

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Eads. Burial will follow at the Eads Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Weisbrod Nursing Home Auxilliary in Eads.


Mary was born on the family homestead, northeast of Eads, Colorado on October 10, 1912 to Samuel P. and Eva Rehm. Mary passed into Gods Kingdom on April 28, 2011 at the Weisbrod Nursing Home in Eads. Mary taught school for a number of years in several of the areas schools and later served as assistant postmaster until her retirement. Mary was devoted to her family, her church and her community. She loved to travel, visit family and tend to her large yard.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Allen and Samuel, sister: Manon Bucklen, husbands: Frank R. Buck and Walter Forsyth. Mary is survived by her son David Gordon (Marie) Buck of Alamosa, CO, 4 grandchildren: Lynette (Todd) Cotton, Cindy (Greg) Bervig, Kathy (Ken) Krieger and Tracey McMichael. 11 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
