Sandra Lee Ellison (61) of Lamar, Colorado passed away on August 1, 2014. Sandra Lee Ellison was born on January 22, 1953, one of four daughters to Lee Ellison and Julia Owen Ellison Wilgus. Sandra was blessed with one son, Brian Lusher, who lives in Lamar. Sandra attended Lamar Schools, then went on to work as a dental assistant and receptionist. Sandra also worked at a flower shop and in the clerical fields, spending many years working for the City of Lamar. Sandra enjoyed going to the family ranch and especially the games that always took place, while she was there. Sandra was an avid reader and always had beautiful flowers and plants.


Sandra Lee Ellison (61) of Lamar, Colorado passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2014 while at work. Sandra was a dependable employee, daughter, sister and friend. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Lee Ellison and Julia Sis Wilgus, step-father Delbert Wilgus, her grandparents Harry and Genevieve Owen, her sisters Terry Ellison and Cindy Clift and 1 nephew Chase Clift. Sandra is survived by her son Brian Lusher of Lamar and her sister Debra Ellison of Eads and many friends.

As a final gesture of generosity and care for others, Sandra left instructions that upon her death she wanted to be a part of the Donor Alliance program that is so instrumental in giving life saving and life changing opportunities to others by way of organ and tissue donation. A true testament to her character. She will be truly missed and her memory will be forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Graveside funeral services for Sandra Ellison were held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, CO with Ian Blacker officiating.
