Virginia Pearl Marble Obituary
Virginia Pearl Price Marble, 68, was born on May 24, 1939 to Milton (Tom) & Opal Price in a little white house in Eads, Colorado.
Virginia spent the first part of her life in Wild Horse, CO where she enjoyed school, playing with friends, along with helping her family milk the cows. In 1954, her 9th grade year, Virginia started High School in Kit Carson. It was there that she was a part of the twirlers and made some lifelong friendships. After high school she decided to venture out to California where she spent time with one of her best friendsher sister Bobbie!!! They always had some really great stories about the beach and how beautiful it was out there.
In the winter of 1957 she came back to Colorado where she met a wonderful man, Everett A. (Tad) Marble. June 15th, 1958 the two married and started their journey together. Over the next 32 years Virginia and Tad were blessed with 5 children, Roberta (Susie), Violet, David, Kelli and Tommy. During this time they lived in Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma. It is these times that were some of the best times of her life watching her children grow helping them with their 4 - H projects, gardening, and sewing.
At the age of 50 Virginia showed everyone around her that it was never too late to go back to school and finish a dream. She received her registered nurse degree from Otero Junior College. For the next 18 years she woke up eager at the chance to help others!!! During her 68 years she never missed the opportunity for an adventure. She loved going on day trips to maybe buy another pair of shoes, not that she needed #67, to get something to spoil a grandchild or two, trips to various parts of the world, or one of her favorite--Cripple Creek to pull the one arm bandits!!!!
Virginia loved her life and everyone in it. She spent many hours traveling to make sure she never missed an important event from weddings, birthdays, ball games, and concerts.
Virginia passed away March 23, 2008 on Easter Sunday, after battling cancer for nine years in her home in Canon City, CO.
