A private family memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Cheyenne Wells for William C. "Bill" Kernan. The family will be hosting a reception to celebrate Bill's life on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at "The Gap" in Cheyenne Wells and would cordially invite all their friends to attend. Bill died on August 7, 2010 at Keefe Memorial Hospital in Cheyenne Wells. He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children: Lana (Todd) Shryock and Sherri (Danny Donnelly) Boulch and his grandsons Tyler and Trevor. Bill is also survived by his aunts: Jean Callahan and Jane Moynihan, his mother-in-law: Mabel Smith and his brother-in-laws: Larry (Sylvia) Smith, Ray (Trisha) Smith, Al Smith, Monte (Diane) Smith, Scott (Lynne) Smith and his sister-in-law: Ginger (Dave) Slatten. The family requests that memorials be sent to the Bill Kernan Memorial Fund in care of the Eastern Colorado Bank in Cheyenne Wells in leau of flowers.
